Abused when he was younger, and now he is suffering; please help Shmuel* Reclaim his life.
Shmuel* is a loving husband and father with five children. He has been a regular community member, with a stable job in Chinuch and seemingly your "run of the mill" responsible adult.
Sadly, this changed a few weeks ago when he had a nervous breakdown.
His wife, parents, and inlaws contacted Amudim to see what help could be offered, as they were all shocked by his sudden downward spiral, which to all of them came out of nowhere.
After being in a Psychiatric emergency room and hospital for a week, so much came to light, with the underlying issue being that he was abused as a child, from when he was 11 years old until 14 years old, and never said a word to anyone.
The abuse may have been many years ago, but the damage is severe. With the guidance from his clinical case manager at Amudim and the treatment team at the hospital, he is in, a treatment program, which specializes in severe PTSD for abuse, was selected. Sadly, he is on Medicaid, and the facility that best suits him does not accept it. In addition, his wife, parents, and in-laws are all in the education field, and they do not have the means to make this happen.
We urge you to help Amudim ensure that the best care for him will be provided so that he can be the amazing and dedicated father and husband, and educator he is known to be. Please open your heart and wallet, and give what you can.
